Innovation Grants

Funding technical work across the open payments ecosystem

People discuss their solution at an Interledger Hackathon

The Interledger Foundation funds developers, builders, and organizations doing technical work that advances open, interoperable payment standards. Our innovation grants support technical work across the open payments ecosystem: from building the developer tools that make the standard easier to use, to exploring what open payment infrastructure could make possible.

Find the Grant that Fits Your Work

The Infrastructure Behind the Movement

Open standards only create change when people build on them. That is why the Interledger Foundation funds technical work as part of its core grantmaking offer, because a growing ecosystem of developers, builders, and financial service providers is how open payment infrastructure gets adopted at scale. To date, we have funded over 150 projects across more than 35 countries, from open-source tooling and early-stage prototypes to live financial integrations serving real users.
